Let’s get back to babkas!

Oh yes, you can eat your cake and have it, too! This Babka was conceived in my own kitchen from the glorious union of two of the most amazing pastry ingredients—chocolate and cream cheese. This combination elevates traditional babka to a whole new level. I use the finest Dutch cocoa, Belgian chocolate chips, cream cheese, and real vanilla beans. The dough is made with the freshest ingredients, and its yeasty inside and crisp exterior tastes like no other. The thin layers of dough and thick chocolate coating on one side, sweet and creamy cheese coating on the other, are rolled into a tight log and topped with a crispy, buttery streusel. Perfect for your morning coffee, served warm with a scoop of ice cream for dessert, or as a gift to a host!

They last up to six months in the freezer and at least two days at room temperature. They can be refrigerated for up to one week, as well. At two and a quarter pounds, this loaf serves eight to ten.

    Growing up Hasidic i have tasted plenty of babka, this is by far the best babka i ever had. plus the chocolate and cheese combination is just out of this world.- cant wait to order my next one.

    If there is one cake you ever eat, you must try Frimet’s Babke. And if there is one Babke to choose from out of all her delicious Babkes, the “chocolate / cream-cheese” is taking it to the next level!
