Thou shalt eat babka!
This is the babka that gets rave reviews from friends and family, and it’s the reason I have started this Babka Lady revolution. You have heard of plain chocolate babka, or plain cinnamon babka. But I bet you have never heard of a chocolate AND cinnamon babka. So, if you’re someone who loves chocolate but also loves cinnamon and you’re unsure which babka to order because you MUST have both, this Chocolate/Cinnamon Babka is for you. (Or if you like chocolate and your spouse likes cinnamon…you get the point.) The dough is made with the freshest ingredients, and its yeasty inside and crisp exterior tastes like no other. The thin layers of dough and thick layers of chocolate on one side, cinnamon on the other, are rolled into a tight log and topped with a crispy streusel. Perfect for your morning coffee, served warm with a scoop of ice cream for dessert, or as a gift to a host!
They last up to six months in the freezer and at least a week at room temperature. At two and a quarter pounds, this loaf serves eight to ten.
